Kwaku Asante, the North-west London man who is on fire at the moment has just released his three-track EP, ‘Blue Solstice: Vol 1’, and to put it plainly it is simply stunning. Born in North-west London, singer-songwriter Kwaku Asante’s love for music was sparked early on by a house filled with gospel and jazz, and with this type of influential upbringing, it was of course only going to lead to greatness in the form of a multitalented artist.

Since releasing his debut single in the summer of 2018 co-produced by Tom Mish and Jan, Kwaku has been on a constant upwards trajectory. Kwaku sold out his headline debut show at London’s Omeara back in October 2019 and has since received huge radio support from the likes of Jamz Supernova and DJ Spoony, whilst Afropunk labeled him as having “the voice of an angel”. There is so much noise around Kwaku Asante, and it is so easy to see why, the guy is liberating on stage, and fighting for freedom off it.

On the musical front, Kwaku is smashing it, and off it, he is a breath of fresh air. Kwaku’s upbringing taught him about discipline and cultivated his love for academia and sports, which both played a role in shaping him into the man he is today.
