Last week I had the pleasure of catching up with Sol Paradise, a North London-based artist who is constantly on the rise. Sol is a great guy with a great outlook on life, and someone who seriously appreciates what music is, and the purity of just doing it for the music and the listeners. Check out the interview below.

THE INTERVIEW

Ben: So what have you been listening to at the moment? Who’s your favourite artist, who’s your go to?

Sol: There’s this girl called Georgia Anne Muldrow that I’ve been listening to a lot at the moment. She’s got this album called ‘Seeds’ which is fucking incredible, she’s signed to Flying Lotus’ label, sort of LA Jazz style. Yeah, the whole album is unbelievable. It’s that sort of vibe and path that I’ve been going down. Other people that guy Q, he had such a sick EP that one where he was like holding the guitar, he’s actually playing in London soon, but I get a lot of mixing inspiration from him, I’m not even sure if he does his own mixing, but the way he does it with the guitar is just crazy. A lot of John Martin. A lot of John Martin, I listen to a weird range of shit. A pretty broad range of stuff, and part of me kind of hates that.

Ben: Surely that’s a good thing?
